She’s also the one with the most romance in her life, if you choose to complete her Companion Quest. She’s the first companion you can recruit in The Outer Worlds. And if you don’t know where to look, you might just miss it. But! There really is some romance woven into the story of the game. The second answer is: kinda? If all you want is a goofy cutscene of two characters awkwardly kissing, before the camera cuts away and implies they’re boning (and maybe some side tiddy I dunno), then you will be disappointed. It’s a bit jarring, considering how much else The Outer Worlds borrows from the structure of those games, but them’s the breaks! So we already knew from interviews that there weren’t romance options in the style of Bioware games - like Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic. The developers at Obsidian Entertainment thought to temper our expectations before the release of the game. At least not in the sense that you might be thinking. There are, I’m sad to report, basically two answers to the question of “Is there romance in The Outer Worlds?” The first and simplest answer is: no. With a legacy built on classic computer RPGs, surely there really is time for love here and there? That’s what we’re going to address in our romance guide to The Outer Worlds. Not to mention you have a whole crew of interesting law-breakers on your side. Still, there are hints at it here and there, with some tragically star-crossed lovers appearing in side quests and back story. The corporations don’t look too kindly on anything that might reduce “productivity.” And that usually includes the squishy stuff. In the meantime, I'll send this report to our QA team along with the Reddit thread you provided for their awareness. In The Outer Worlds, romance is a tricky thing. Let me know if you're unable to complete the quest through Roscoe or if you run into any other issues. At this time, there doesn't appear to be a solution that would allow affected players to complete the quest through NTVUR, however you should be able to complete the quest through Roscoe for the time being. Thanks for writing in and I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced a bug with the quest "The Electric Fling". Thanks Philippe! Here's what he wrote me:
#THE OUTER WORLDS 2 WIKI PATCH#
or 2.Įdit: fextralife wiki page for the quest: Įdit 2: Sent in a support ticket (April 2021), hopefully we get a patch soon! Opening dialog with NTVUR by pressing E with my cursor on the automech gives me two options: 1. However, there is no option to turn in the phonographs to the automech despite the fact that I have all the phonographs (5 total), and that there is a quest marker above NTVUR. One of them is Roscoe, the original quest giver. There are 2 places you can turn in the phonographs to. In that quest you collect phonographs from around the asteroid. There is a quest called The Electric Fling in The Peril of Gorgon DLC. Any workarounds? I don't have a reasonably nearby save. I only have dialog options to kick the bot or leave. I am unable to turn in the phonographs to NTVUR.
